Six years have passed and Canabalt is still one of the best endless runners on any platform.
Ive lost hours to this game. Just one more try; this time Ill get further.
I found that there are actually settings for volume, vibrate, etc in the main iPhone settings app. Would be nice if there were a link to these settings from within the game as it took me a while to discover these useful adjustments.
This game though it is just a simple running game is so ADDICTING you just cannot stop playing you always have to get gather each time :)
Some bad moments
The frame rate on the iPhone 6 Plus must be in the 15 fps range... when it should be a steady 60 fps. No excuses.
I dont recommend this game at all. Its very boring and there is no plot and all you do is run. The f/x and music are crap and the game has crashed on me numerous times for days at a time. It is also expensive, totally not worth what you pay for. It should be free. I wouldve have given it 0 stars if it were an option.
Visuals very choppy in parts. Detracts from what could be fun. Literally causes nausea if played too long.
The pc version was absoluetly stunning, simple. This version though has some little touches that in my opinion detract from the game, in this version you can hold to jump higher, while pc only had 1 jump height no matter what, timing was critical but with the 2 jump heights in this version it takes away alot of that. Theres also some newer death quotes and little, but noticeable changes in gameplay. What challenge i loved from the pc version was tooken away creating a much more steady and altogether bland game. I would love a classic version were its exactly the same as the original, same jump height, same quotes, same challenge.
