I got swindled this is 3$ garbage

There are no coins, no powerups, no upgrades, no missions, and no revives. The only thing you have to do is running as far as possible, which makes this game the best runner. While you farm coins in other runners, here you simply try your best. It gets repetitive, but that is inevitable in an endless runner, and it keeps being fun. The fast pace and acceleration keeps it exciting. There are 9 modes, 8 of which are variations of the first. There is a 2P mode, which can be played alone. There are 4 music tracks only, but they are pretty good (except for the rap one, I dont like lyrics in games). Possible improvements would be a toggle for turning off vibrations (so we wouldnt have turn them off by the phone settings), more music, and removing cheaters from the leaderboards (Someone scored 34926 m in pretty much everything).

This game is impossible to play for more than a couple minutes. The platforms and jumping mechanics are incredibly imprecise. Waste of money.

Really a great game, consumed a lot of my time! Mechanics are good, making the game very enjoyable.

Ive always loved canabalt since it came out and introduced me to endless runners.

But the sound effects dont work on my iPhone 6 running iOS 8.1

The sound effects still dont play. This isnt just a minor issue; the effects provide cues for events in the game. This needs to be fixed. The game would get five stars if it gets fixed.

In multiplayer, the second player will not be able to jump at all. Can you please fix this? Other than that, its a very addictive game.

Used to run extremely well with no slowdowns but since the new update that changed the game engine its been terribly choppy. Please make it the way it was before!

This update did not fix the two-player mode issue.

Update 12/6 - The sound effects are back! Thanks Adam! Its better than ever! Firstly, this is the ONLY game that has stayed on my devices since its purchase. (Which was a few days after its release.) Endless playability and fun. iOS 8 broke the sound effects. With its update today, it still wasnt working. I emailed the developer and within a very short time, he responded, and then again shortly after he notified me it was fixed and would be available in a few days. Thanks Adam!

Canabalt had been on all of my phones pretty much ever since it has been released. The visuals, music, and core gameplay are top notch. The 2.0 patch which brought widescreen support and a bunch of new game modes is also a very welcome improvement. However this latest patch (iOS 8 support and iPhone 6 resolutions) seems to be a bit of a disaster. The problem is that frame rate on my iPhone 6 is terrible. It feels like its running at 20fps. For a twitch reaction game like this, especially one as old as it is running on the latest hardware it really should be running at 60. It just kills the experience for me. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Hey! Its finally possible to turn the music down. Unfortunately, there are still no sound effects on the 6+. Semi-Secret needs to fire the chimp they are using for Quality Control. However many bananas theyre paying him is too many bananas. I would have to use two hands to count on my fingers how many times this bug has cropped up since the game was released. Cmon guys!! Get off the couch in your parents garage and fix it for good one of these days.

The latest version(s) downloads and installs in iOS 5.1.1, but theres now and issue with the display staying centered vertically on the screen. Still think its an amazeballs game and hope this display issue will be fixed shortly.

I love this game. Its very fun and addicting and I love the new modes that you can play in - it definitely makes the game less boring. Good game and I recommend you play this game if you havent yet!

Ive known about Canabalt since 2009. Im really surprised (and happy) to see that this game is still being worked on. I thought it had been abandoned. Its harder than it was before but that might be because Im on a new device and havent played in a good while. Otherwise I love the additions. This app is truly a quality pioneer of the App Store, in my opinion. Keep at it!
